Passport Online Application Procedure:
1. Open the website in web browser (Internet Explorer/Firefox/Chrome) http://passportindia.gov.in.
2. Create your user id with password.
3. Fill and submit the application form online (you can also scan and upload relevant supporting documents)or download the e-form and upload the same at the www.passportindia.gov.in website.
4. Note the Application Reference Number (ARN, schedule an appointment and take printout of Appointment slip.
5. Visit the designated Passport Seva Kendra (PSK).
6. Applicant's presence is mandatory along with all original documents and photo copies as required. Your photograph will be captured at the Passport Seva Kendra(PSK).
7. You can also track the status of your application or getting any assistance by calling the call center at 1800 258 1800 or by logging on to http://passportindia.gov.in.
